I started in with this idea of connecting while conceptualizing a piece I wanted to do for my sister-in-law a long time ago. Her passion for her childhood home, that place that gave her roots, triggered this idea. Roots, origins, foundations…it all comes together as a beautiful beginning, cycles around to a beautiful ending and begins again. This piece taps into water! I loved creating this piece as I contemplated how water is apart of all our origin stories. The outdoorsman who commissioned this also excited to see what I would come up with as I spliced into a flowing stream to capture what’s underneath.
